LIVE AT THE BETSEY TROTWOOD - BRIDGET ST. JOHN
12" vinyl LP/download
In conjunction with our mates in Massachusetts, Feeding Tube Records, we are releasing a live LP by one of the true great British singer/ songwriters of her generation, Bridget St. John. It coincides with the 50th anniversary of her debut 45 and LP on John Peel's Dandelion label.
In February 2017 after a couple of false starts, I managed to get Bridget to play a special show at the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon. It was a magical performance and fortunately for those not lucky enough to be there, her set was recorded for posterity. Mixed and mastered by the ever reliable Mr Tony Poole (himself a performer on that same Saturday afternoon), we are presenting Bridget's complete set (shorn of just a few spoken intros and of course in-between song guitar tunings). Running at almost 50 minutes, we are releasing this as a 12" vinyl LP/download.
The record is a stellar mix of choice cover versions, Bridget classics and some of her newer songs.

Tony has a done a great job on the sound, what he calls his 'Hejira' mix. The album comes in a classy black and white single sleeve designed by Mr Hurford and features a couple of fabulous photos of the songstress taken by her daughter Cristy.
Total run of 500 copies.
